Who Is Mary Jarvis?
Mary Jarvis has twice been named “Who’s Who in Bikram Yoga” by Yoga Journal Magazine as a top yoga instructor. There are over seventy yoga schools across the world that are run by Mary’s students. She has served as head coach for international yoga sport and as a board member on the USA Yoga Federation. Mary has used yoga to personally heal herself from spinal injuries and has touched the lives of thousands across the globe. Bikram Choudhury selected her to teach 10+ years before the first Bikram teacher training and dozens of Mary’s students have won regional, national, and global yoga competitions using her training regimen. Yoga schools across the globe send their teachers to study under Mary to refine their teaching.

Starting Your Yoga Journey Workshop
This long form class is open to all levels of practice. Those new to yoga will learn proper breathing and alignment from a world renowned veteran teacher. Those with more yoga experience can audit their approach to postures, breathing, and energy allocation. Mary will guide a class created to lay the groundwork for a safe and sustainable practice. She will discuss the varying paths to take your practice. You will learn how to avoid the pitfalls of an unguided practice and learn the processes long time practitioners employ to keep their training fresh and optimal for their changing needs.
The Finesse of Teaching through Practicing Workshop
EVERYONE is able to take this workshop where Mary will cover alignment, breathing, and pacing. She will delve into the proper way to guide classes for the optimal student experience. Mary’s yoga school served as a polishing school for over 70 yoga schools around the world. After each class of new teachers completed their standard trainings, they were sent to Global Yoga in San Francisco to spend a month practicing with and learning to teach with Mary’s trained staff. Topics in this class will include: constructing sequences for complementary stretching, using postures for rehabilitation, maintaining your practice, avoiding new teacher burnout, and safely motivating students. For yoga students, this experience will be valuable as you will learn the thought process behind your teachers’ classes and cueing. Everyone can provide questions to Redux Yoga staff before the class which will be answered by Mary during the experience. This class will be so much fun and very inspiring!
Posture Clinic Workshop
This is an experience you do not want to miss. Many consider this workshop their favorite part of any Mary seminar series. All of your yoga questions will be answered in this workshop. Mary uses varying media to explain how to best practice various asanas and yoga exercises. Why is one version of a posture better for shoulder mobility than another? Why does your teacher instruct you to pair forward bending with backward bending? Mary will use images, videos, and diagrams she has created over her thirty years of teaching to breakdown each element of your practice. You will quickly understand why people are lined up with their notebooks for this workshop. It is recommended you bring attire which allows you to move. This workshop is not a lecture. You will be provided ample time to try out the concepts covered.
Yoga For Longevity Workshop
Study after study has linked regular yoga practice to decreased mortality, improved strength and flexibility, lower stress levels, pain management, decreased chronic illness related symptoms, improved circulation, etc… etc… etc… In this workshop you will learn how to use yoga asanas for the safe treatment of hundreds of ailments. Mary Jarvis has assisted thousands of students in her thirty years teaching with yoga therapy. Learn how to craft your practice to ameliorate everything from lower back pain to the discomfort of chemotherapy. All levels of practice are encouraged to attend.
Mary Jarvis’s Hatha Yoga Class is suitable for all levels of practice and all body types. The class offers deep insight and posture guidance. Instruction surpasses scripts and standard cues. You will learn how to properly align your body for maximum therapeutic benefit. Beyond learning how to correctly transition into postures, you will learn how to optimize your practice for your individual goals. You can expect to garner insight to the rationale behind the structure of the class and the relationship between postures.
Intro to Mary Jarvis Yoga All Levels Class
Meet the world renowned teacher Mary Jarvis. This first class will be your introduction to the highest level of instruction accessible. Mary is an expert in all forms of yoga asana. This long form class will introduce time tested alignment information and an approach to breath control to polish your postures and energize your practice. Mary will touch on yoga therapy and posture variables. This is a great class to hone your mind/ body connection.
This long form class is open to all levels and disciplines. The class is a donation class so that yoga practitioners may pay what they can afford. The experience will offer a glimpse at some of the material to be covered through Mary’s five days. We want to afford everyone the opportunity to learn from a veteran teacher with a lifetime of insight.
Beyond Beginners Class
Are you curious what comes next? Perhaps you have been diligently practicing for some time and are looking for the next phase of your practice. This class is for you. The class is available to all levels whether you’re new to yoga and want a glimpse of what is to come or you have been practicing for years. The long form class will guide you towards a fulfilling practice. Mary’s class is anything but standard. She will guide students through postures and their many variations. Learn to improve your performance and set yourself on the best track for a lifelong practice.
RX Master Class
The RX class was developed by Redux Yoga owner Griffin Peddicord with the guidance of Mary Jarvis. The class includes the 26 standard Bikram postures, vinyasa sequencing, Wim Hof breath work, toning exercises, Ashtanga, and Iyengar elements. Griffin will lead the class and demonstrate postures, making the class accessible to all levels. While Griffin leads the practice, Mary will cue alignment corrections and insert posture variations. This class will be physically demanding while offering a therapeutic yoga experience unlike any other. Students who regularly attend RX classes have practiced Mary lunges and Mary backbending. In this class they will now practice these Mary exercises under her guidance.
Mary Universal All Levels Yoga Class 1
Each Mary class is a unique experience. In this class Mary will lead students through postures they encounter on a regular basis and dissect the best process to complement the postures and improve the benefits derived from their practice. You can expect postures from multiple disciplines with the time to tweak your postures. One Mary class can offer years of guidance for a healthy yoga practice.
Mary Universal All Levels Yoga Class 2
Saturday will be an excellent day to attend a Mary yoga class. Mary will touch on the previous lessons of the week leading up to this class. She will also introduce new methods to improve your practice. This class is not a knock-down-drag out test of your mortality. Each Mary class, whilst challenging, will energize your practice and prepare you for an enduring practice vital to your overall wellness.
Final Class + q&a
The final Class with Mary Jarvis will wrap up the content covered earlier in the seminar series. In this class students will practice postures and variations curated through Mary’s thirty years. Questions are encouraged. The class will responsively shift as questions arise.
